Terms of Service

Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of the work. Failure to remit payment within fifteen (15) days of the invoice date will result in a late fee of five percent (5%) of the outstanding balance. Thereafter, a monthly interest charge of two and a half percent (2.5%) will accrue on any unpaid balance. In the event that Hodges Tree & Landscape incurs legal or attorney fees in the pursuit of collecting a delinquent debt, the customer shall be responsible for all associated fees, up to fifty percent (50%) of the unpaid balance.

Accepted Payment Methods

Hodges Tree & Landscape accepts payments in the form of cash, check, or credit card. A processing fee of three percent (3%) will apply to all credit card transactions. A fee of forty dollars ($40) will be charged for any returned checks due to insufficient funds or other banking errors.

Stump Grinding Terms

Stump grinding services include grinding the stump to a depth of approximately 8–12 inches below grade. Surface and subsurface roots beyond the immediate stump area are not included unless specifically noted in the quote. Stump grinding may not be performed on the same day as tree removal and may be invoiced separately.

Liability for Property Damage

Hodges Tree & Landscape will make every reasonable effort to minimize damage to landscaping, lawns, and surrounding property. However, tree removal and associated services may require the use of heavy equipment. We are not responsible for damage deemed unavoidable due to the nature of the work.

Buried Utilities

Hodges Tree & Landscape is not responsible for damage to any unmarked underground utilities, including but not limited to cable, internet, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, and drainage systems. Customers are advised to turn off irrigation systems at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled work.

Driveways & Sidewalks

To protect driveways and sidewalks, Hodges Tree & Landscape will utilize appropriate protective measures such as plywood or outrigger pads where feasible. However, if the use of these surfaces is necessary to complete the work, the company is not liable for any resulting damage.

Delays & Scheduling

Hodges Tree & Landscape is not responsible for delays caused by inclement weather, labor shortages, equipment failures, or other circumstances beyond our control. Such delays do not relieve the customer of their obligation to complete payment for services rendered.

Lawn Repair

While we take precautions to avoid unnecessary damage to lawns, some impact may be unavoidable. Lawn repair is not included in the quoted price unless specifically stated in writing.

Cleanup

Cleanup includes the removal of wood, brush, and clippings, as well as raking or blowing the affected area unless otherwise noted in the quote. Additional cleanup services may be available upon request and subject to additional charges.

Insurance & Liability Coverage

Hodges Tree & Landscape warrants that our work is insured for liability, and all workers are covered by workers' compensation as required by law. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.

Additional Work & Unforeseen Conditions

Any additional work or equipment required to complete the job due to the customer failing to disclose relevant information, the presence of previously unknown foreign material in the trunk, branches, or underground, or any other unforeseen condition that was not apparent at the time of the quote shall be paid for by the customer on a time and material basis.

By accepting a quote and engaging Hodges Tree & Landscape for services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the above terms and conditions.
